FROM NYC: These directions provided by a Mount guest:
There are two methods from Manhattan, the first being the more expensive. That is to take the Adirondack Trailways bus from the Port Authority in New York all the way to the retreat house. The buses are red, black and white in color and you must tell the driver where you are going. The second and less expensive way is to take Metro North's Hudson Line to Poughkeepsie. Walk to Main St. and go uphill for four blocks to the rear of the Civic Center. Cross the street and stand in front of the single story building to the left of Main with the credit union and cafe. Tell the driver you want the Mount St. Alphonsus retreat house in Esopus on 9W (which is north of the small white Sacred Heart Church). Please contact Adirondack Trailways to verify bus locations and routes.
