Is the Mount handicapped accessible?
We are completely accessible to the handicapped. Our new elevator takes guests directly from the driveway to every floor in the building, and designated bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.

How are reservations made?
Call us at (845) 384-8000, or send a $25 deposit and a note with your contact information and the name of the program you plan to attend. Send to: Mount St. Alphonsus, PO Box 219, Esopus, NY 12429-0219. The reservation can be begun online.

Are refunds possible?
Reservation deposits are not refundable, except when we cancel a program due to weather or lack of registration. The advance deposit is deducted from the total cost of the retreat or program. The remaining balance is due on arrival.

What do the Mount’s programs cost?
Prices are listed with the program information on our calendar page. Most weekend retreats cost $180 and most day programs - which include a hot lunch - are $25 or $35. Evening sessions are $10. Musical events are free and open to the public.

Can I bring my group to the Mount?
The Mount can accommodate groups of various sizes. For info on bringing a group to the Mount, please download our brochure by clicking here. 

How far in advance should I book my group?
Most weekends are booked about a year in advance. Weekdays are more generally available. Call the Reservation Office to discuss available dates.

How is payment made for groups?
Contracts including the cost of your event are issued at least six months in advance of the date, and a final bill is presented to be paid before departure. Guests pay the group’s organizer, who presents one check to the Mount.

Are credit cards acceptable?
The Mount does accept credit cards for reservations and in its gift shop.

Does the Mount provide priests for Confessions and Celebration of Mass?
There are two Redemptorist priests on the Retreat House Staff, and usually with sufficient advance notice, one or the other of them will be happy to be available for your group.

What are the meals like that are served?
Meals at the Mount are simple but good. We often serve hot meals, served buffet style, with a few items to choose from. 

What should I bring to the retreat?
Guests of the Mount are provided with meals, towels, liquid shower soap and bed linens.  All other toiletry items should be brought with you, including shampoos etc, toothbrush, toothpaste etc.
